Yay!

I love that Armando made Noah see that this is truly blackmail. And that manipulating Marcella to get his way will lose her. Noah finally realizes that she is not going to give him the second part of their agreement if he keeps taking over, but he is so egotistical that he can’t help himself. I hope we see him truly grow!!!

Best chapter so far

I know Noah and Marcella will end up together but the thing that is killing me these past months is HOW.

Keep up the good writing, the good storytelling, and everything that makes the Twelve Table Series awesome.

Gawd you are good at providing twists and layers etc. I love that your writing is not so 2 dimensional.

I love that you have made these two struggle to come together. Trust is a big thing in relationships and its hard to trust when life has given you reason not to. Despite that I think that Noah is at least considering Marcela's past and how hard it is for her. He is stuffing up a lot but he is only human and he probably has never had to deal with a woman like her. She can also see that he is trying so there is a lot of hope for them.

I love how the story is building up. I hope it doesn't end too soon though. As always, thanks so much for your writing.

Thank you

Speaking from experience, and no I won’t go into detail on how it happened to me, there is a point in every young man’s life where someone slaps (physically or verbally) some sense into them. (Thank you grandpa)

So here we have Noah’s father laying out very bluntly for Noah what we as readers have already surmised. That Noah, and maybe the whole family, have fucked up at nearly every turn with Marcella. But that this last thing, that Noah did all on his own, blackmailing her into this “agreement” and establishing this “forced”relationship, might just be an unrecoverable situation if Noah doesn’t man up and correct it.

Now we all know that Noah has received a lot of advice from a lot of insightful and caring people who only want the best for him...and so far...he has chosen to ignore almost all of it. But now it seems clear this is his last chance to get it right.

Noah needs to man up. And you would think it would be such a simple thing for Noah to do. Manning up doesn’t mean you switch from alpha to beta. You don’t change your morals, your beliefs, or your self. You don’t lie, cheat, fake it, or resort to blackmail. You simply put the needs of another before your own. That’s what real men do.

Genesis did it with Olivia. He fed everyone of her needs first, step by step. He became what she needed. He did not diminish himself or become something less than he was before. By recognizing Olivia’s needs, and becoming the man who would selflessly deliver on those needs for her not for him, he became something greater than he was before. And when she recognized this in him, she openly and freely surrendered herself to him. And the rewards of those actions have led to some of the hottest scenes in this story.

Noah on the other hand does everything for himself, to feed his needs first, to achieve his desired outcomes above all others. He is a boy in a man’s suit and acting the role of a man in the game of the tables. I hope he finally figures out what he needs to do, who he needs to become.

I look forward to watching Noah’s transformation and reading the scenes of him reaping the rewards of his selflessness...should that be how xEBx chooses to write it. Or should xEBx take the alternative approach and have Noah fall...I am certain that it will be written in a manner that the lessons Noah failed to learn will be indelibly etched onto the minds of the men holding the seats at these tables for generations to come...and that too will be exciting and enjoyable to read.

Interesting note called out in this chapter for me was the fact that the Zenati children did not go through the trials. Again I clearly missed something earlier because I had wrongly assumed that Noah had a first hand understanding of the impact the trials and various stays at the Bataglia facility can have on a person. But now I know he only has an anecdotal understanding of what Marcella has suffered at least twice - not to mention her dad, the uncle, the doctor, Apollo, etc... Just added to my disappointment regarding just how deeply Noah lives his world of self founded on assumptions.

Do you know what I love? I love that your characters (for the most part) make decisions to act with the best of intentions. Then someone else, or a situation, bring to light what they hadn't considered. Very little in life is black and white, and even when we make choices with the best of intent, life gets in the way. I love the intrigue, I love the way the relationship with Noah and Marcella is developing. I'm so invested in this story. I'd love to read something on the Battaglia when you're done with the Zenatis.

BRAVO! 5 STARS!

(If you haven't read 'The Twelve Tables' you're missing out! Start at book 1! All of her series make my Hubby a happy man, and the pleasure of foreplay is reading one handed.

LostFoundBen your synopsis of Noah. Isn't he a 'Master' in his fathers BDSM dungeon? While I agree with your synopsis of 'boy to man' , which happens to most of us when we find ~the one~, MHO Noah will be a true 'Master' of a strong independent woman sub. Noah make it ok for her to embrace this part of herself. Life as an innate sub, an itch, where there's not only self confidence, but trust and OMG pleasure. Noah can be her "Safe. Sain. Consentual ".

Two sisters. S/M and D/S (yes I know it's suppose to be 's' - It's Marcella. She gets an 'S'!) The bracelets are a huge significance for my synopsis.

All four have a wicked itch, that only their mate can scratch. SSC is defined by the individual-couple. The story, for me anyway, is the mending of black and white with the shades of grey. What Marcella, and some readers, needs to accept is that Olivia's Masochism ~is~ SSC!

Can't wait for next chapter! This chapters surprise meetings were BRILLIANT. The mystery lover in me is giddy with excitement for next chapter.

To author, I suggest JD Robb and Tiffany Reisz 'The Original Sinners' for inspiration.

Why? Because they're the only other two fiction authors that have held my attention to keep in perminent library. Congratulations! Your ~that~ good

Love!

Can't wait for the next chapter. Is it always going to be around every 2 weeks? I'm glad his father made him realise his actions would just push Marcella away.

GIIIIIRRRRRRRLLLLL

I literally binge read this whole series!!! I was not expecting to find something this great on this kind of website but honestly, this should be a legit published book! There is a great story arch, great characters, and great plot. I love it when a writer can get me to change my mind about a charter. If you can show me say.. Marcella and bring her in as this sister who is just worried about her sister then kind of turn her into this over protective villian who has a vague scorned past to this well developed person who has been hurt in the past by everyone around her but would still do anything to protect the ones that she cares about. I think that is what makes this so great! It took me about 27 hours to read this including 6 hours of sleep. I am so interested and how this story will progress! Keep it up!

Trials

Noah said his father didn’t make him or his sisters leave the Family for their trials. That’s a far cry from being shipped to the Battaglia twice for remedial training.

I agree, I love this series and how it is going. Noah needs to tell her everything including why he can’t leave her alone. If he doesn’t she’s gone.

Marcella

Please let her find her own trail and let her find true love instead of this nit-wit. He can't be a Master because he doesn't think about the other person in the relation. Somewhere in the storie was said that he had no ego. I think that ego is all he has.

Marcella

She is a hero, let her fall in love with a good guy, please! Those guys are spoiled arrogant little dickheads. They behave like Nik. Constantly saying they did nothing wrong, it was the only way, if others just listen to them......

Equality

It really isn’t a difficult concept...

Well unless you live in a patriarchal society that thinks it’s ok to own people. The ONLY way to ever claim that someone is yours is if you are completely theirs as well. Even then you need to treat each other as equals in everyday life. Sex isn’t included per se with one the exception of one rule, which is that you both fully and freely consent to whatever it is that gets you off. It’s quite literally basic human decency.

Marcella…the attorney who thinks that compromise and negotiation equal blackmail.

Noah…..cut her loose and let her deal with the consequences of her rash and ill-thought out (read hair-brained) schemes
