This didn't turn me on at all (maybe being a heterosexual woman didn't allow me to identify with either character) but I loved it because it's extremely well-written - the dialogue, the atmosphere with the whiff of desperation and sadness, the realism - altogether creating a pitch-perfect scene, IMO.

That's a bleak tale, with a touch of kindness inside it, gives it heart. The human condition, gets you every time. Cudos for trying something different.
