It's obvious what will happen next. Dad passes away. Mom and son get together. The way they get together will make or break the story. It can be a great story. I would love to see how they talk to each other that first time they make love. If I was sleeping with my mother for the first time I would be very gentle. I wouldn't hurry anything.
