"The Desert" was previously published as 2 backstory novellas, "Sisters of V'Gedra" and "Ishuna." This tragic drama underwent major editing. Now 10% longer, dialogue and timeline smoothed out, integrated with new lore established in Sister Seekers and God Wars.
