Drowsily as vermilion streaks my skies,
we meet across the ocean's indigo depths
keeping us apart, yet still can't quell
the love we share in stolen moments.
As your skies slides into the slate of night
my morning wakes and we speak of love,
bittersweet but no less heady with newness.
Whispered love, purple impassioned
until night drives us to bed, apart, but
in my dreams I sleep cherished, tucked
into your shoulder, safe with you my love.
