Tick tock, tick tock
Listen to the time pass
Blah, blah, blah, blah
Pay attention in class

Thoughts scatter
Fluttering in the breeze
Memories come flooding
Brings me to my knees

Silence isn't really golden
It's really lonely and cold
My only thought is of you
As I sit and grow old

Alone in a house
That has become too empty
But I have faith
It'll fill again, you'll see

Laughter will be heard
Resounding off the walls
The phone will be ringing
Right off of the walls

Children are what makes
The world go 'round
The ringing of laughter
What a wonderful sound!
