O Noble Soul : sleepest Thou in peace ?!
We mourn Thee not : Thou art immortal , timeless
But you leave behind leaders of clay
----petty backstabbin' politickers
With one eagle eye on opinion polls
Secret liasions 'n mistresses stashed away
Corrupt millions safe in numbered Swiss accounts
Do they understand the self Sacrifice of a
Prince of an ancient Tribe who suffered
Solitary Imprisonment for 27 years
On cold , rocky Robben's island
Cut off from mainland & humanity
Your shining imprisonment on Principles
Of anti-Racism , anti-Apartheidism drew
Admiration from ordinary people
Whether in Kolkata or Paris
Beijing or New York , London
Or Ho Chi Minh city
Lincoln , Gandhi or Thou o Mandiba
Have shown Mankind the
Path of Universal Brotherhood !!
