THURSDAY EARLY MORNING
11/10/2018
Immersed in every tale,
its minute detail
for hours I can seek,
images come and go,
their pace fast or slow,
their substance thin or thick.
Observing my mistakes,
but more than that it takes,
and so I lose the thread,
better to write some verses,
on doctors versus nurses,
until it's time for bed.
So, here I am deflated,
my spark annihilated,
but never giving up,
I'll take some time out,
for I don’t have a doubt,
I know when crap is crap.
Maybe again tomorrow,
your substance I could borrow,
and write another song,
respecting formal issues,
so you can't say, "Jesus,
this guy insists too long!"
