I remember that day well
It is burnt into my memory oh so well
The sun was out,but clouds peaked all around
The wind blowing,whistling it's tune
My heart was light, not a care

I saw a glimpse of you
So strange it felt
The look you had
Not one of happiness, not one of sadness
But of peacefulness
I blinked you were gone
Why did you not stay?
Why did you not wave?

Walking through my door
The sound of crying caught my ear
My heart sank tears filled my young eyes
From the pain I heard in the cry

A sudden feel of terror, grasped at me
I looked at her asked what happened
Her face red and swollen, the tears staining
her face
HE IS GONE!!! is all she could say
And say no more for I knew
It was you
To loose you was not acceptable
I fought,and denied the thought

But in time my pain of loss has eased
But the memories stay fresh,as the wind was that day

The weather is turning cold again,My heart stays
cold this time of year.
The thought of never seeing you again Brother fills
me with tears of grief.

Though you are gone,I still feel your presence
as I did the day of your death.
