6th Annual Literotica Geek Pride Day Story Event
Here's more from this year's organizer ChloeTzang:
Here on Literotica, in recognition of Geek Pride Day, one of our fellow writers, PuckIt, organized the inaugural Literotica Geek Pride Day Story Event on May 25th, 2018. This was such a popular event with writers and readers last year that we ran it again in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, and weโre enthusiastically running it again for 2023 - our 6th year for this event!
The 25th of May was first organized as Geek Pride Day in 2006 by the Spanish blogger Germรกn Martรญnez (known online as Seรฑor Buebo). Since then, Geek Pride Day has slowly gained international recognition (in certain Geek circles) and we on Literotica want to do our bit to celebrate Geek Pride.
So let the Force guide your fingers. Start writing! This isn't a "by invitation only" event. This isn't a competition. There's no placing. There's no prizes. This is for the sheer joy of writing alongside a bunch of other Literotica writers. This is for anyone on Literotica who would like to try it out. You don't have to have written anything before to write for this event. First time writers and veteran Literoticans alike are all invited and encouraged to participate.
The Rules are actually really simple (please read them all to make sure your story is included in the event!):
So what are you waiting for?! Visit the 2023 Literotica Geek Pride Story Event: Official Support Thread for full rules, submission info, and of course support and encouragement from your fellow authors.
Have fun writing, and reading!
If you've got an idea for a themed writing challenge, feel free to contact us anytime! We're open to anyone organizing a new event.
If you're looking for a fun way to stretch your skills, check out our list of current author-organized challenges!
A big thank-you to the readers who have supported the site and the writers by way of views, votes and comments.
And another big thank-you to ChloeTzang for organizing this year's challenge!
We look forward to reading your Geek Pride Day stories!
I have an idea, but for computer geeks, in college settings, sadly nothing comes to my mind for geek engineers on spaceships :D
